How to change OSC address from script

I want to build a template that adepts to the plugins I have on a track in Reaper. For that, I need to change the OSC address of certain objects from script. How can I do that?

I tried setattribute() with name-Parameters like 'osc', 'address', 'oscaddress'. I even tried using the object's default osc address and then changing it's name hoping this would change the osc address. But I didn't find a solution.

Any help would be great!
