MIDI notes not staying selected in Live 9

Hi. I use TouchOSC/Livecontrol with Live 9 and when I select notes in clip edit view, after a few seconds, they are being de-selected. After some investigation it looks like it's Livecontrol thats doing the de-selecting (unselecting Livecontrol as a control surface stops the problem). I read somewhere that Livecontrol does note polling (I think it was called) to make sure it's in sync. I only use Livecontrol for clip launching and controlling device parameters so does anyone know how to turn of the note polling in Livecontrol? Thanks
