How to make pad send two note ons instead of a note off

Post by Jeshua » 16 Jan 2013 05:31

Hi, I'm making small templates for each of Abletons built in effects. The first one I'm working on is beat repeat. If you are familiar with the device it has a repeat button that toggles the effect on and off. I would like to make the device momentary like the pad object in Lemur, but unfortunately Ableton doesn't seem to respond to note off. How would I go about creating a MIDI message that sends a second note on for when I release my finger off of the pad?

Thank you!

Sorry, I figured it out. In Ableton under MIDI mapping I just raised the minimum past 0 so the effect will turn off. I'm usually not THAT slow lol. But if someone wants to send me an answer I still can think of a couple of cool things to do with one pad triggering a note on after receiving a note off.

Thanks!
