control fader by another fader

hi,
i want to be able to control fader by another fader in live control -- question can be extended to lemur itself - So i did this little script Fader.x=Fader2.x; Working well, but the controlled fader, although it is responding well, it doesn't send midi to corresponding fader (mixer/volume) in live ableton. I think this has to do with the fact that a automated fonction doesn't send data, only when it's touched. But i'd like to get a confirmation, and hopefully few help to have this working!
