Strum/Randomize question

pretty much what the subject says...I can make sense of and utilize all of the functions on the Sequencer page but the Strum slider and the button next to it, and the Randomiz Steps slider and the button next to it perplex me - some explanation would be fantastic

You need to first make a selection. Swipe in the timeline (top right row, above notes) and swipe in the notes bar (far-left column). This will make your selection bright, you can them apply different Actions to this selections.

ok, I can select things and the randomize steps button has revealed its magic. the button randomizes and the slider is a probability for how much of the selection is randomized

however, the strum button is still confusing and I don't understand it. I have notes selected and I press it and it doesn't do anything? I have tried it on a bunch of different note lengths, tried it on chords, etc - what is its function??

Perhaps its modifying the start points of each note so that a chord resembles a strum? If you open the "start" option for paramters, do you notice any change?

Just making a guess, havent tried it yet!

Ok confirmed - it indeed moves the notes in the piano roll to resemble a strum - the strum is then also visible in the "parameters" - "start" parameter for each note!

I can't seem to select things from the time table above the notes. In the bottom black square ( in Sequencer) I can only high light one thing at a time (and effect nothing).
