live control freezes up monome st8 help me

if i use live control with monome and start launching clips it works for a while but then the monome stays lit but doesnt appear active and wont let me launch anything else unless i go into ableton preferences and turn off live control and then select again can anyone help me

Hey man, Im in the same boat as you.
Its been up and running for the past coulple of days and started acting weird today.

Itll freeze up after every few minutes.
Im really interested in how to solve it. is it a software problem?

it appears this was the looper, remove that from your program list for livecontrol and see if that helps.

Hi St8,
I was attempting to remove the Looper from the program file. Then when I changed my program list, it was the same issue, still with a looper.
Is it possible I have it in the wrong place? I set it in My Documents. Is there a different place for Windows 7?

On windows the config file should be in the directory above My Documents

When I put my config file in that directory,
I dont even get a red ring in Live.

Im not sure how to proceed.

With it in the user name folder, the script doesnt work at all, when I had it in My Documents, I get a faulty freezing Monome (without being able to change the programs).

Any ideas?

So I solved one of my issues.
I put it into the folder above My Documents. It wouldnt load before because the config file didnt have a .txt extension.

Now, If I can just get it working.
My config file appears to have no effect on the app.
I still get crashing due to the looper, even if looper isnt in the config file, its still there.

Any thoughts?

Hi again St8,

So I believe Ive narrowed down my issues into one, all encompassing statement:

Nothing I change in the config file has any effect on Livecontrols behavior.

I have it in the correct place, Im 99% sure, yet, no changes seen.
I followed the installation instructions, and cant think of the reason why this occurs.
Anything in specific you can think of that either causes this?

If you got no red ring in live it was in the right place! just the config file had an error, MIDI Faders, should be MidiFader

for sure, got the ring back, changed the program names, with no luck in changing the functionality of the program in live.
So its in the right place, but the programs arent changing despite what I have in the config file.
Would this be something in the Python script?

My aim as you said before is to get rid of the looper and sequencer to give some more stability for gigging, I love this app!

This is the EXACT config file Im using:

still get the standard
ClipLauncher, TrackControl, DeviceControl, Sequencer, Looper, MidiFader, and Scaled Keyboard.

PS we seem to be communicating through 2 different forums, on here and on Monome. Shall we stick to one and post results in the other?
