Uncompressed PY scripts

Post by Softcore » 06 Jun 2013 12:00

It goes without saying that a lot of work must have been put to the scripts provided with Live Control 2 and it's the developer's right to "protect" them. The truth is though, I immediately after the release of LC2 had some ideas of incorporating only elements of LC2 to my own Lemur set up. Of course, besides tampering the Lemur template, I believe someone should also alter the midi remote scripts which comes to my question:

After looking into the midi remote scripts for LC2 I saw that some of them are uncompressed (PY, editable with a simple text editor) and some of them are compressed. (PYC)

Would it be too much to ask for the total of uncompressed scripts so that for example, one could create (by editing the original LC2 scripts) a "step sequencer" alone script, or a "play notes" alone script?

Thanks in advance for any answer!
