First thing, to anyone readying this, thank you for your experimentation making music in a new way; it makes me giddy to daydream about the possibilities. I can't wait to see people perform live. I'm thinking rave DJ meets Blue Man Group.
I'm relatively new to Live, so I hope this isn't one of those "it's so obvious, we don't mention it" things. When I click on "Pads" or "Keys" I can hear what I am playing in Live (using what I assume is some kind of the default piano), but I don't know how to control it. Is that piano sound an instrument? How do I change it? It seems that I should be able to specify what track I want the "Pads" and "Keys" to be mapped to (like with "XY" and "Device"), but how?
Any advice or suggestions is appreciated. Thanks!

Re: change "Pads" and "Keys"?
In the LiveControl app you've got "AU DLS Synth" selected, thats the default mac synth. Change that to "from LiveControl 1" and enable that midi port in ableton. Then you should be good to go
