Controlling currently selected device

I am just wonder if it currently possible or if there are any plans in the future to allow control of whatever device is currently selected in Live. The reason I ask is I have a bunch of instrument racks nested in another instrument rack and in my live set I have it so whenever I select a specific device in the chain selector it also focuses on that specific device in Ableton. Currently I can control the parameters of the selected device using the 8 knobs on my trigger finger (due to the 'blue hand'). This works ok, but is not ideal since the position of the knobs don't reflect the actual values on the device when I change instruments. I know this should be possible as I can do it with nativekontrol's LPC-Live on my launchpad.

I am wondering about the same thing. I tried the M4L Control Device but can't get it working. :(

I got the M4L Device Controller working but unfortunately it crashes live somewhat randomly which makes it unusable. I even contacted the creator and sent him some crash logs to see if he could help, but he only has the hardware controller and said he didn't have time to really investigate further. He did says it appears to be a result of an array going out of bounds somewhere. At least I know I'm not alone in getting this to work, I don't understand why it is so difficult to be honest.
