After allot of poking about I was able to fix this by editing my registry (no error and keeping startup launch ), but after installing latest update the problem is back.... now I've forgotten how I did it. Does anybody have a fix for this that retains launch at startup?

Its a workaround for sure, but why dont you all stop Daemon from automatically start on Windows start up and then just fire it up when all else is loaded?

it is strange. I have reinstalled W7 on my main computer (with GTX 570, but I don't think anymore that this is relevant), and also got these error messages. Unchecking both entries in the Startup tab in msconfig makes them go away, but that means Lemur Daemon will never start after boot.

These are the moments where I really lust for a Mac. Many things are solved better on that platform. On the other hand, there are also many things that are solved better on the Windows platform. Best thing is probably to use both, in my case Windows and Hackintosh. But I can't shake the thought that today's computing is still very primitive. Advanced and very nice in many aspects, but only under 'certain' conditions. This is very primitive.
