Midi Feedback. Update switches but don't send value

Post by azrulsaleh » 28 Jun 2017 00:08

Is there a way to update only the display of switches but not send the value?

I'm using scripts (on expression = x) within the switches object (set to radio) to send program changes to Pro Tools (via target Midi 0). This is working flawlessly.

I'm receiving the midi back (via target Midi 1) from Pro Tools into Lemur in order to get midi feedback. I've set a script (on midi) to receive the incoming data. This works, but with feedback loop. No good.

The problem, I think, is because the script is set to update the switches' x value. Which in turn will generate the midi automatically upon receiving the expression. I've been able to overcome midi feedback with other objects through the use of the z variable as a conditional in if statements. But since switches do not have this variable, I don't know how else to achieve this. Anyone know how can we update the display of the switches but not send their values?
