Yosemite no longer has adhoc password, now what?

so, for people who aren't looking to get a new mac, stay safe with older OS's

is there any sort of workaround to once again have a password on our networks at gigs? I really feel unsafe that the entire backbone of our performance is now password free.

ive found a few links that show you how to get a password on for file sharing (when connected to a ethernet) not not for straight up connecting the way we do.... is it time to start looking at bluetooth?

or to be sure it will work, go wired via USB coreMIDI..

I've had great success with iConnectivity iConnectMIDI2+ and the MIDI4

not so much with iRig.
