Transparent background in Canvas TEXT fill [SOLVED]

Post by Softcore » 18 Feb 2015 14:41

Try inserting text in anything else than black background in a Canvas object (for example on top of a color filled path).

The text has in fact black background making the whole concept of using text in canvas quite unuseable (for example if you want create a set of buttons with text labels over them).

Any chance of making it actual text with no surrounding black in future updates? Thanks!

perhaps I was too hasty on this one? I havent actually sent the template to iPad - the image is a screen capture from the Windows editor. Perhaps when sent to iPad it is "drawn" correctly?

(also, I cant see your attached file and I dont know why, in fact I've never actually seen any .tiff attachements in this forum, perhaps a windows problem? not sure )

Anyway, here's how I do it - see if you can spot any problems - thanks!

Allright - just checked - works fine on iPad so I dont really care how it shows in dekstop editor.

By the way, it does display correctly (no black background) in my PC - the screen capture was from laptop. Probably different graphics card drivers-configuration.

Another weird PC-only Editor glitch is that canvas_clearRect clears the entire canvas on the editor but looks fine on the iPad.
