i did ask this a few years ago, but now going to try again. i think dexter would be a fantastic addition to lemur. i even wouldnt mind buying it, as in an IAP. but not too expensive, reasonable say £5

Dexter was a purpose built DAW controller that ran on Lemur hardware...
It did not actually run inside Lemur software as a project or such...
Lemur hardware was an FPGA, basically a reconfigurable logic system
There are some similarities and some differences between Lemur and Dexter

I believe there are plans to port the Surround mixer interface to Liine Lemur

FPGA or Field Programmable Gate Array ...

Normally computer chips are made as a fixed final product and you change the software that runs on them.
FPGA's are kind of blank slates that can reprogrammed into different chips via firmware . . .

So In a very real sense the Dexter 'app' turns a Lemur into a different machine rather then simply different software .. .

Ofcourse it would be great to get some of the Dexter features into Lemur - ie Surround mixer, and EQ graphs . . .
