How do I assign midi controllers to the outputs - guide says hold on preset button to move or edit - I can certainly move, but editing is another thing ... I really need a more full manual

everytime you move each of the 8 "squares" they send midi CCs on both X and Y movements (axis) making it unpredictable to midi map by activating a synth's "midi learn" function - enter "lock mode", lock a square Y axis, and map its X, lock its X axis and map its Y - consult your synth's manual on how to "midi learn" CC mappings.
