Use a MIDI interface. Wifi is simply not reliable. If you already have an external sound card with MIDI ports, the cheapest way to go is to buy a UM-ONE USB Midi Interface, conect it to the ipad with the camera connection kit and to the computer using the midi ports of your audio card.

I have no issues using WiFi with the editor app. I have an iConnectMidi2+, but never use it when debugging templates.
