Display Track Name (Newbie)

Hi Everyone, so I've been scouring the forums trying to find this but haven't been able to so far.
I'm using Cubase 8.5 and would love it if I could create either a monitor or a text object that would display the current track name. I kinda got it to work with the Mackie protocol and the surfaceLCD but that's way clunkier than what I want. I just want a single current track name to be displayed.
Also if this is doable in Live as well that would be great, but Cubase is more important for the moment.
