Do I really have to set up an AD HOC network everyday?

Post by JarrodRoyles » 07 Jan 2016 00:17

Hey guys first post! Hope I'm welcome with my nooby questions, I have a two iPad set up with Lemur on both, do I really have to set up an AD HOC network every day? It seems to get wiped from my mac, I then have to reconnect the Lemur Daemon, then change my environment on Logic to connect both iPads before I start working every day.

Am I doing something wrong? Is it possible to wake up, open my mac, unlock my iPads and be on my way? Thanks!

No - you shouldn't have to. If you set up as a named network when you created, you should be able to select it on your Mac to start up when you need it.

How are you creating the Ad Hoc network?

I'm doing Wifi button in dock > Create network > Name and channel 11. That's the only options it gives me, thanks for the reply!

Sorry for not getting back - unfortunately, I don't have access to a Mac currently to verify the exact steps for you to take. I just know that I've set up Ad Hoc networks on a Mac in the past, and have never had to recreate them for subsequent use.

Maybe someone else can chime and and provide some additional insight.
