Wrong midi cc numbers on templates?!

Post by bloke » 23 Mar 2015 15:52

Hi,

I have downloaded several lemur templates for vst instruments, korg polysix, gmedia oddity, but the midi cc numbers on the templats does not correlate the the vsti? Why is that? Can the vsti have different cc numbers in different versions etc? I have not hade one knob or slider that did work unless i remapped it in lemur editor to the right cc#. I belived that if i download a template for a instrument it would work right away, but unfortunately not. Why is it like this?

The templates you donwloaded are made by users of Lemur most of the times (user library). This means that, depending on the "care" and "cautiousness" of the template creator (i.e. the user) the correct procedure would be to also include some sort of midi CC impelementation info or if the plug in allows, a saved midi configuration file.
If thats not the case, well then mapping it by yourself is your only option.
