Cubase Solo in place/PFL button for multiple MCU's

Post by jbgeluid » 03 Dec 2014 11:51

Just to bring this to your attention, I found a way to set the "solo in place" vs PFL/AFL mode in the Cubase controlroom and display the" state" when using (multiple) Mackie control emulation(s).

Normaly you have to push and hold "shift", then also push "project" (hold note 90/ch1, then also note 77/ch1, and then release both). This only works on the first unit, because you have to send the command to the other MCU's too. Also normaly there is no way to actualy see in wich "state" solomode is, but with the added "solo state display" this is easy. Since Cubase always starts in "solo in place mode" all you have to do is save this button in Lemur while displaying 'solo in place".

This also works on multiple MCU emulations, see my explanation in the template.
There is probably a more elegant way to do this by proper programming, but hey, this works..in a rather "analog" way.. ;)
In my template I added " a PFL/AFL button, and "Listen level" fader, I "hide" them in Lemur when in "Solo in place" mode.
