Is it too much to ask?

Post by oldgearguy » 17 Oct 2014 11:36

We've been waiting for various updates (5.1, etc) and I typically visit this forum maybe once a day or so and rarely visit liine.net. I don't always power on my iPad and see what updates may be queued up. Is it too much to ask for Liine to post an announcement, like maybe in the Announcements section, when a new release is available? A summary of new features, bug fixes, etc would be great.

Even the main page at liine.net doesn't mention 5.1, 5.2, any updates, etc. It still has the old 5.0 display and links.

That way, anyone with a template/app out in the public has a fighting chance to do some testing and debugging before the public says "your template is broken", etc. You know, basic customer support and all....

Weird - today I immediately saw this one as being an unread thread so I saw the announcement of 5.2

edit: although, indeed it would be best if the thread title was renamed to reflect the latest updated content.

thanks all.

One note for consideration is that you don't see that announcement as a new/active topic if you simply click on the "Lemur" section. I never visit the subforums directly. All I do is come in the the Lemur section and review all the new/current topics. Since the site does not have a lot of traffic, there is no need to go into each subforum.

Only if you click into the General Discussion forum will you see the announcement there and there is nothing on the main screen of http://www.liine.net indicating anything other than 5.0

This is the direct link I use to browse this site: https://forum.liine.net/viewforum.php?f=30

I started with that but I got tired of clearing out the Introductions and I didn't have anything to contribute to the LiveControl and Griid areas, so I restricted mine to just the Lemur section.
