Lemur On Startup

Hey guys,

I've got a question which I think is possible. Does anyone know how to connect my iPad to my iMac on startup of my iMac? These days I must manually first make the network and then the iPad will connect. Is there a way to do this automatically on start up?

Cheers!

It's possible to automate creating ad-hoc networks with Apple Scripts / Automator but I don't have any specific details how to do that. If you use a hardware MIDI adapter such as iConnect MIDI or iRig MIDI, your iPad would effectively always be connected.

The iConnect is possibly the better of the two Interfaces..
IRigs have had issues dealing with Sysex commands, not sure if fixed in latest version
Sysex can be vital for controlling , editing some synths etc...

Also, yes, it should be possible to come up with a way to auto start up an ad hoc network using system scripting ...
For general development work I often just have mine connected via router, and only go adhoc for final use...

I got the iRig and must say I haven't found any issues with Lemur. Maybe if the amount of scripting increases in my project but for now it's working;)
