Lemur Daemon CPU and resource hunger

Post by cloudswap » 28 Nov 2013 09:34

Hey guys,

the Lemur daemon is a bit much more demanding than any other daemon I run, also when not in use. It is consistently using 2.5% CPU all the time, which is not a lot in itself, but every other daemon or "service" I have is around 0.0% - 0.2%, so it's 10x what I would expect. And I just noticed, now with Mavericks and the energy reports, during a days use, it is on average the most energy demanding on my computer, using 10% of the energy during a day where I was doing office work (so no DAW use, only Safari, Numbers, Mail, etc).

Is this expected, just a shoulder-shrug "its the way it is" or is there something wrong with my setup / system?

Apogee, NI Hardware, Zoooom, Leap Motion, Text-Expander, Air Display, all those daemons are also currently running and using nothing, or one tenth of Lemur.
