Thanks

this could be possible if we knew the complete Mackie Control protocol. As long as this is not the case, no meters.

no, that one is new to me. It's for Mackie HUI, but could be interesting. Thank you.

this one I've studied intensively. :) It's actually the only source I could find so far. But it's good to have the link in this thread.

V-Control (DAW controller app from Neyrinck) uses the HUI protocol, and has stereo meters. It would be great to get stereo meters into Lemur, but so far there is nobody who managed to do it. Even ARTSunmuted has 'only' mono meters.

Besides, here is a mono meter for Cubase:

also implemented here:

I'm currently doing a new Cubase template and have done a lot of searching regarding Mackie

Here's an additional list:

yes its possible try this

based on an older mcu emuation, i slimmed it down to just the mixer and added the vu meters, i had to make the 0db and clip as an leds at the top of the meter, but i will now be able to modify it and change the meter colour according to the level (more like normal)

Meter level in Mackie and HUI is problematic. First of all, it is totally useless for real life metering and IMO opinion it can be used a signal presence indicator. MCU has only mono for sure as specified in their specification document. I checked the HUI documentation as well and there is nothing about stereo metering as well. Bummer. The meters in Cubase Generic Remote are mono only but much more precise.

At the moment I am finalizing the full blown mixer section for qb where I combine the MCU metering with GR metering. I have made a 30 segment GR metering that works great and is precise enough to be workable. It will be incorporated in the volume fader:-). You can follow my blog at artsunmuted.tumblr.com - some solutions will be really interesting. Tonight I will post the picture and the video of the complete one fader module.
