AD-HOC

Post by jenz » 27 Apr 2012 20:01

Hello all!!!

When I was on Leopard Snow I use to create an ad-hoc connection with the sharing pane and then start the Internet sharing... But now on leopard I can't!

Share you're connection from: Ethernet ---- To computers using Airport but now in LION (10.7.3) I don't have Airport in the choices. (Check pic)

And the other way (creating a network) dosen't work either... :0(

What am I doing wrong?

Hi,

Please create the ad-hoc network by doing the following:
- Click on the AirPort symbol in the top right menu bar.
- A drop down menu will appear.
- Click "Create Network..." second option starting from the bottom.
- Give the network a name, leave the channel on automatic and don't use a password.

That should do the trick.

Kind regards,
Marino.

Hi
I believe they simply changed the name from AirPort to Wi-Fi. Same thing really after all.
Check under the WiFi options - every thing should still be there.
Cheers
