Editing Text in a template

Post by joebataz » 07 Apr 2012 19:02

Is it possible to have an editable text field that the user may type into? Haven't seen this, or do I need another read of the manual?

thanks

joeb

There's no built-in support for this kind of thing. You could make your own keyboard with custom buttons, and do something with scripts though.

Hi
You can make your own as Axel said
Check out the Scalomat mods that kraftf did including this feature, for renaming scales . . .

Cheers

I don't see a keyboard in that template. regardless I'm just doing my own. Something you might want to include in a future release. Having to go into the code to change a displayed value or having to write an entire keyboard interface just to change text seems a little much especially when you're trying to keep template size and number of scripts down.

Off the subject, I have a led array object, how the heck do I turn one led off or on? I'm asking because I can't find an example (hint,hint.... more manual details/examples).

thanks,

joeb

Hi
In this thread http://liine.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f= ... t&start=10 - one of krafts mods
Hidden away a bit tap a button up the top left I think to rename scales
Also posted by Mat as a final version in scalomat6

And I don't actually work for Liine - I just have a bit spare time and helping the Lemur community . .
Probably best to send it as a feature request in wishlist

There is an led tutorial or two around I think - I'll see if I can find it . . .

Cheers

thanks MM. Really hate burning time on how to turn a led on and off. I would have thought that led array.x would be the states of the leds. Unfortunately I don't think that's quite right.

thanks again,

joeb

MM, nevermind. I found something that works (not really sure why?!?!?!?!?) but it works and that's good for me.

Thanks,

joeb
