Re: Set scale to fader and have a fader trigger a note
Yea all this is possible. You can handle it through a custom MIDI expression, or in scripting with the [noteout()] message (as far as the note triggering is concerned). If you want to send a note every time you touch and release the fader, you will use the change in the 'z' value as the trigger. If ...

Re: StepSwitch questions
Yea step objects are notorious for skipped notes and not being very true to the beat when they accumulate. I don't know if that was fixed with the lightning USB connection in the new update or not though, are you connected like that or with wifi? I'm not sure about swing, length and legato though as...

Re: Ctrl button, select many fonctions and send them all at
I believe what you want is possible but a little hard to help as I don't know exactly what kind of 'function' you are launching. Calling a scripted function is like many other languages, simply type the function name with parenthesis and any arguments required Example: myFunction(argument1, argument...

Re: StepNote Clock
Hmm I don't really use stepObjects, but AFAIK it looks like a bug. Try PMing Nick about this or posting on the Facebook group maybe? In the meantime you can use the Pad objects for sequencing with multiple clock sources and use the 'light' expression to show visual feedback of the current step. Hope...

Re: Any way to operate Switches in "momentary" mode?
Check out your available internal library of functions. For MIDI note messages you can use [noteout(target, note, velocity, channel)] Note off = 0 value for velocity Add it in an event script when the x expression changes and you can manage all your note sending from there. Then just make sure you a...

Re: Prevent button from triggering on external trigger
Yea you want to add a script to prevent midi feedback. Often times (depending on what object you are t=using) the 'z' expression is good for this. If z is equal to '1', that means that you are physically pressing down on the object. Therefore writing a script with this condition will prevent feedbac...

Re: Addressing Monitor.value
You are on the right track, you definitely need to tie multiple arrays like that for large storage in lemur.
That's why the [findchild()] and [getexpression()] methods are useful in this situation

Re: Addressing Monitor.value
I think storing values in an array is much cleaner and easier option (and they are saved until next restart as long as you don't assign them an initial value). And keep in mind they only hold up to 256 elements per array. You can use a loop or individual assignments to store/recall data: //STORING s...

Re: Alive 2008 "Stronger Remix" Questions
Yea your question more deals with possibilites of signal processing. Ableton is definitely a great program for performing live with fx and clip launching (which is what he is using). I use ableton all the time, I love it, but definitely not the only option. Check it out, especially the use of Macros...

Re: Alive 2008 "Stronger Remix" Questions
What aspect interests you? He is using standard lemur objects. Some have physics enabled (Mass spring), some of the physics are just to create a cool visual effect, and some of them actually are affecting the parameters. Just like any controller it takes thought, creativity and experience to think a...
