AH reading again I see you are asking for Interface ordering and not "Container Tabs", my bad
So, alpha-numeric is the mostly used for these task.

There is a Z variable on Multiball object.
trying typing this on a monitor object:
Multiball.z
Z variable for every lemur object was very suggested on legacy comunnity,which I really support 100%!
is that what you're looking for?

Just make right click over the tab and select (Bring up or Bring Down)
